Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)

HCGH’s IMC is a 36-bed medical, surgical and cardiac telemetry monitoring nursing unit intended for patients whose medical conditions warrant close monitoring. We use a holistic, patient-centered approach that involves the physician, caregivers, patient and the patient's family.

Adjacent to the emergency department, the IMC provides specialized care and monitoring for patients presenting with symptoms of a heart attack to evaluate the need for cardiac intervention or admission as an inpatient.
