All of the laboratories and operating rooms in the Sheikh Zayed Tower have state-of-the-art technology. A hybrid operating room can serve as a catheterization lab or a cardiac operating room; this allows for flexibility of treatment based on the needs of the patient. The magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suite includes groundbreaking technology that is only available in one other location in the United States. Large screens and computer technology allow for broadcasting of procedures, which provides learning opportunities to medical students across Johns Hopkins, regardless of their location.
