The New Home to the Johns Hopkins Heart and Vascular Institute

In April 2012, all departments under the Johns Hopkins Heart and Vascular Institute will move into their new location in the Sheikh Zayed Tower. This includes cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and imaging services.

Johns Hopkins Medicine has a long history of heart and vascular care, including laying the foundation of modern cardiac surgery. While performing ground-breaking procedures and leading medical care in the 21st century, the Heart and Vascular Institute is still working out of buildings that were built in the early 20th century. It is time for an upgrade.

In 2007, High Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates gifted Johns Hopkins Medicine the funds to begin construction on a new cardiovascular and critical care tower. The new facilities allow our physicians and staff to continue providing cutting-edge care, while giving patients and their families a more welcoming experience.
