Together, they collaborate with experts across Johns Hopkins, including urologists, colorectal surgeons and physical therapists, to provide care that addresses every aspect of your condition.
Meet the Female Pelvic Health and Reconstructive Surgery Team
Our team includes leaders in the field of pelvic floor disorders care. All of our specialists are board-certified and have completed advanced training in pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.
We look at each of our patients as individuals. We understand that your condition may be embarrassing and disabling. Our specialists will treat you with the compassion and dignity you deserve as we work to improve your quality of life.
Our doctors and researchers are also involved in research and clinical trials that are uncovering new advances and treatments for pelvic floor disorders.

Cathy Wehner, M.S., C.R.N.P., is a women’s health nurse practitioner who specializes in treating women with pelvic floor disorders and other needs during perimenopause/menopause. Ms. Wehner is also the preceptor for nurse practitioner students pursuing women’s health.

Jackie Jenkins is our patient navigator and can help you plan for your visit to the center. She will help you find a specialist, obtain medical records, coordinate appointments and make travel arrangements.

Laura Scheufele, PT, B.C.I.A.-P.M.D.B. has been a physical therapist for more than 20 years and has specialized in pelvic floor dysfunction for 14 years. She is dedicated to educating the general public, as well as allied health professionals, about conservative management of pelvic floor disorders.
