Gynecological Pathologists are specialized pathologists who have experience and expertise in identifying gynecological cancers. What sets the Johns Hopkins Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service apart is this area is having a dedicated team of pathologists who only examine the pathology of these unique types of cancers. 

In a disease where identification and staging are so critical, our team of gynecological pathologists make critical decisions that inform future diagnosis and treatment protocols for our patients.

All slides are reviewed in tandem at the tumor board, a multidisciplinary group of our staff who meet once a week. Care for each of our patients is individualized based on the pathology reports, the patient’s history and tumor type.
