Hopkins GIM is proud to host an NIDDK-funded Healthcare and Population Science Core. The Core is part of the larger Baltimore Diabetes Research Center, led by Dr. Fred Wondisford at Hopkins and Dr. Alan Shuldiner at the University of Maryland.
The goal of the HPSCore is to help prevent and control diabetes in Maryland and beyond by two means: first, by supporting diabetes research that focuses on the health of communities and populations; second, by providing a trusted source of information about diabetes and diabetes research for the people of Maryland and neighboring states.
GIM Faculty with key roles in the HPS Core include:
Felicia Hill-Briggs, PhD
Director, Cognition and Behavior Sub-Core
