Early to Mid-Career Faculty Development

Early to Mid-Career Faculty Development

Faculty development at this stage is focused on building critical competencies for successful research careers and gaining the knowledge needed for professional advancement in academic medicine.   You may also want to develop additional skills in teaching and clinical practice, or cultivate further relationship building, communication and leadership competencies that you will need both now and later in your career.  We also want to support you in learning new ways to balance the many competing demands in your work and personal life.

Explore the many seminars and workshops offered each semester to assist you by clicking on the resources and courses of interest to the left.  Create your own development plan by registering for a personalized set of offerings.  While faculty needs will vary, consider taking one workshop per month or bimonthly in support of your professional and career goals of scholarship and promotion.

Register for seminars, workshops, or courses in the tracks highlighted to the left by following up at the web addresses or according to the specific instructions provided with the course descriptions. Please note that the sponsoring organizations will be considered the final authority for their offerings.

You may want to print the Comprehensive Courses List for 2012 for your reference.

Best wishes for success in achieving your goals this year!  Please let us know how we can provide further support to you by contacting Julie Simon at or at Office Of Faculty Development  410-502-5521.
