Residency Application

Chairman's Hour

Thank you for your interest in The Johns Hopkins University Emergency Medicine Residency Program.  We are participating in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for the 2008 PGY-1 match positions. We welcome osteopathic and Canadian medical school applicants. 

Application Requirements:

  1. The ERAS application
  2. Personal statement
  3. Dean’s letter
  4. Medical school transcript
  5. Results of Part I of the USMLE (and Part II when available)
  6. Three letters of recommendation 

After the Dean’s letter (release date November 1) and all the appropriate documents have been received, we will notify candidates accepted for interviews. We will not review incomplete applications after December 1, 2008. Interviews will be scheduled from November 14, 2008 until January 31, 2009.

Please note that we no longer send out informational brochures.  All information regarding our training program is contained on our website.
