Why Give to Emergency Medicine?

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins provides critical care for those who need it most. More than 200,000 patients visit our emergency room every year. It is a Level I Adult Trauma Center and serves as the Pediatric Trauma Center for the State of Maryland and the surrounding region.

From international health to disaster response to cardiac and infectious disease, we are a nationally and globally recognized leader and resource in the field of Emergency Medicine. Our mission is excellence in teaching and research, and quality care for all patients—regardless of their ability to pay.

Your charitable gift supports our doctors as they perform lifesaving work and helps them provide innovative ways of improving the public health. Thank you for your investment in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
