Background

Dr. Omron is the Assistant Program Director of the emergency medicine residency program and Instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine.

After completing residency in Emergency Medicine at The George Washington University, Dr. Omron worked at Hurley Medicine Center and The University of Michigan as a clinical professor. His focus was teaching residents ultrasound and mild therapeutic hypothermia at Hurley Medicine Center. He was also actively involved with the residency and they awarded him the Golden Apple. Dr. Omron joined the Hopkins faculty in 2010. As Assistant Program Director, he oversees the resident schedule. He facilitates residence evidence based medicine, morbidity and mortality conference, and simulation.

Dr. Omron's research interests are minimizing radiation through education, ultrasound, and systemic effects of periodontal disease.
