After residency, Dr. Hosek spent five years on faculty at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.  During this time, he coordinated the development of a focused bedside ultrasound program for the Division of Emergency Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. 

Dr. Hosek joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2001 as Director of the Emergency Medicine Focused Sonography program at JHBMC.  He has lectured extensively on the subject of clinician performed ultrasound and was the recipient of the 2004 Johns Hopkins Emergency Medicine teaching award.  Dr. Hosek is currently earning his Masters in Business Administration at the Johns Hopkins University School of Professional Studies.   On a personal note, Dr. Hosek is an active member of the New Jersey-based Team Michael which has raised tens of thousands of dollars for AIDS relief.
