Dr. Bessman completed his emergency medicine training at Johns Hopkins University and joined the faculty at what is now Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.  He is an active member of one of the 28 Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) Urban Search and Rescue teams.  He is currently the Director of Emergency Medicine at Bayview Medical Center.
