Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response (CEPAR)

The Johns Hopkins Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response was created in response to the events of September 11, 2001. CEPAR serves to integrate and coordinate the resources of the Johns Hopkins Institutions to deal with terrorism and other disasters. The Office has received federal grants to develop response plans for such events. CEPAR is directed by Dr. Gabor Kelen, Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine.
