Many physicians and researchers cannot recall another time when so many opportunities to understand and successfully treat disease were within their grasp. Our understanding and practice of medicine is progressing as never before. Some of these advancements are the result of computing, technology and collaborations across specialties and institutions, while others are built upon the discoveries of those that preceded this decade. Regardless, this is a dramatic time. Immunotherapy, liquid biopsies and biomarkers are among the medical discoveries that will affect our lives and the lives of those we love. As life expectancy continues to increase, our challenge is how to harness the information and medical advances to live well and improve our health.
This year’s annual Johns Hopkins Medicine women’s health conference, A Woman’s Journey, is devoted to sharing insights about advances in medicine. In addition to the 10 seminars, hear the plenary keynote and luncheon keynote speakers Meet doctors from across many specialties to ask them general questions about discovery and health. The day truly is a rare opportunity to learn from Johns Hopkins physicians and each other.
We hope you will join us for an inspiring and exhilarating day. Come alone, or bring your sister, mother or friend. Take the day for yourself, rejuvenate your mind and spirit, and return home with lessons that will last a lifetime.
We look forward to seeing you at this award-winning program on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center
