Dr. Michele Bellantoni is associate professor and clinical director in the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology in the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is also the medical director for the Johns Hopkins Bayview Care Center, a faculty physician of the Johns Hopkins Bayview Metabolic Bone Center.

Widely published, she travels lecturing about issues facing aging populations and the management and care of osteoporosis.

She received her B.A. in biochemistry at the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she also completed her internship and residency in the Department of Internal Medicine of the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Additionally, she completed two postdoctoral fellowships: the first was in geriatric medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a second research fellowship in the Endocrinology Section of the Gerontology Research Center, National Institute on Aging.

Her seminar entitled A Boom to Aging  is scheduled for Session II: (11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).
