Anesthesia Education in Eritrea

Over the course of several years John Sampson MD, Roger Johns MD, Tina Tran MD, Terry English CRNA and many other members of the Austere Anesthesia Group have worked with Health Volunteers Overseas, Physicians for Peace, George Washington University Global Health, Doctors for United Medical Missions and the Eritrean Ministry of Health to improve perioperative medicine through education. Activities have included direct teaching of nurse anesthetist students and surgery residents as well as conducting panel discussions with medical students and residents on the importance of quality anesthesia and perioperative care.
