Background

Sean Love, MD, is an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine (ACCM). He is an anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained surgical critical care intensivist. Dr. Love attended Brown University for medical school and completed his residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in adult critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins. He is the winner of the 2023 ACCM Rising Faculty Award, which is given to faculty whose career is "up and coming." His interests include medical student, resident and fellow education and clinical operations/management. He is the lead faculty liaison for residents rotating in the surgical intensive care units and the post-anesthesia care units, Co-Director of the Medical Student Anesthesia Clerkship, and serves on the clinical competency committees for anesthesiology residents and adult critical care medicine fellows. In addition, he leads several initiatives focusing on process and performance improvement in the adult general operating rooms.
