Dr. Martin S. Kanovsky is a cardiologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, Suburban Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center, as well as a clinical assistant professor at George Washington University School of Medicine and Georgetown University School of Medicine. He practices out of CardioCare in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Dr. Kanovsky has expertise in echocardiography, preventive cardiology, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology. 

Dr. Kanovsky earned his bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University and his medical degree from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he received the Mosby Commencement Award for ranking in the top 5% of his class. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  Previously, Dr. Kanovsky served as the chief of the Division of Cardiology, the CCU director and the noninvasive cardiology director at Sibley Memorial Hospital. 

Dr. Kanovsky has been regularly named a Top Doctor by Washingtonian Magazine and Consumers’ Checkbook magazine. He was also named a Top Cardiologist by Bethesda Magazine in 2010.

Dr. Kanovsky is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
