Background

Kevon-Mark Jackman, DrPH, MPH, studies digital healthcare strategies for reducing the burden of sexual health disparities among disserved and underserved adolescent and young adult populations.

Dr. Jackman is an HIV Epidemiologist and Prevention Scientist who has focused his career on leveraging digital healthcare tools to empower adolescent and young adult sexual and reproductive health engagement. Dr. Jackman specializes in mixed qualitative and advance quantitative research methodologies. His dissertation research (R36 HS023057-01) is among the first studies to demonstrate that minoritized youth consider the incorporation of patient portals into conversations on STI/HIV testing with sex partners as beneficial to increasing motivations for STI/HIV test seeking and improving the accuracy of test results shared between partners.
