Background

Frederick Anokye-Danso, MSc, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.

Dr. Anokye-Danso received his B.Sc. from the University of Ghana. He completed graduate studies in Molecular Biology in 2008 at Okayama University, Japan before training as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Anokye-Danso was a Senior Research Investigator at the Institute for Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolism, and the Technical Director of the Mouse Physiology, Phenotyping and Metabolism Core at the University of Pennsylvania until his current appointment.

His expertise is in disserting biological pathways involved differentiation of pluripotent and mesenchymal stem cells into adipocytes. His research focuses on endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
