Background
Dr. Martello cares for hospitalized patients in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Department of Medicine. He previously worked as an associate program director in the pediatric residency program at the University of Kansas where he received the Highest Honor in Medical Teaching of Residents and Medical Students. He has experience as a pediatric hospitalist taking care of both sick children and well newborns in the newborn nursery.
Dr. Martello earned his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine where he also completed his internship and residency program in general pediatrics. He has an interest in evidence-based medicine (EBM), medical education and family-centered care. Dr. Martello is a current member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Academic Pediatric Association, and Society of Hospital Medicine.
