Dr. Peter G. Hamm is a pulmonologist and internist, as well as the chairman of the department of medicine and the chairman of the intensive care unit (ICU) committee at Sibley Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hamm practices out of Chevy Chase Pulmonary Associates, located in Chevy Chase, Md. and Sibley Memorial Hospital’s Medical Building in Washington, D.C. He is affiliated with Suburban Hospital as well.
Dr. Hamm has an expertise in annual physicals, acute and urgent care, disease management and pulmonary medicine.
Dr. Hamm earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Bellevue Hospital Center.

Dr. Hamm contributed to a publication on the diagnosis of pulmonary Kaposi’s sarcoma with fiberoptic bronchoscopy and endobronchial biopsy.
