Background
Dr. Siems specializes in pediatric critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. She joined the hospital staff in 2020.
She was mostly recently a critical care physician at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., where she served as director of education for the hospital’s simulation program and for pediatric critical care medicine.
Dr. Siems earned her medical degree from New York Medical College School of Medicine in Valhalla, New York. She completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, New York, where she also served as pediatric chief resident. She then completed a fellowship in critical medicine at Children’s National Hospital. She also holds a master’s degree in education from George Washington University. She has a particular interest in training non-technical skills including communication and leadership in medicine.
