Department of Defense Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP)
Program supports research that will lead to the elimination of death and enhance the well-being of men with prostate cancer. Pre proposal deadline is September 15.

2016 Martin D. Abeloff Award for Excellence in Public Health and Cancer Control
Award recognizes advancements made in Cancer Control practices that influence the public health statewide and on a national and/or global scale. Nomination deadline is September 16.

The Sherrilyn and Ken Fisher Center for Environmental Infectious Diseases Discovery Program

Burroughs Wellcome Fund - Career Awards for Medical Scientists
The highly competitive program provides funding for basic biomedical, disease-oriented, or translational research to physician-scientists. Application deadline is October 6.

Bright Focus Foundation Alzheimer's Disease Research Grants
Grants support two awards: Standard and Postdoctoral Fellowship to fund researchers early and more advanced stages of research in Alzheimer's Disease. Applications due October 13.

Robert J. Kleberg, Jr. and Helen C. Kleberg Foundation Grant Program
Program supports basic medical science and clinical research, education, community and health services in South TX, arts and humanities, wildlife, veterinary and animal sciences. Application deadline is October 15.

Bright Focus Foundation National Glaucoma Research Grants
Standard award funds researchers who have some amount of preliminary data in glaucoma research. Tenured track and non tenured track open to apply. Applications due November 16.

Milstein Medical Asian American Partnership Foundation Fellowship and Project Awards
Awards fund research applications in Geriatrics, Dermatology, Hematology, Reproductive Medicine, and Translational Medicine research. Application deadline is December 1

Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) Challenge
Foundation sponsors $2 million prize to the first team to develop a viable selective alpha-synuclein PET tracer and agree to make that tracer available broadly. No application deadline.
