Gene E. Green, M.D., M.B.A.
Gene E. Green, M.D., was named President of Suburban Hospital in February 2013. Prior to joining Suburban Hospital, Dr. Green served as vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP), a 400-provider, multi-specialty group practice with 37 sites throughout Maryland and the Washington, D.C., area. Dr. Green joined JHCP in 2003 and has held a number of clinical and leadership positions within that organization. His efforts within JHCP led to significant improvements in operating performance and increased patient, employee and physician satisfaction.
Dr. Green earned his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he also completed a residency in family medicine and internal medicine. He holds a master of business administration degree from The Johns Hopkins University.
