Background

Monica Mukherjee is medical director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. An expert in echocardiography, Dr. Mukherjee is also director of echocardiographic research at Johns  Hopkins - Bayview.

Dr. Mukherjee received Bachelor’s degrees summa cum laude in behavioral neurobiology and psychology from the University of Florida at Gainesville. She graduated from the George Washington University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Drexel University Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Mukherjee also received a Master’s degree in public health at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health. She is a reviewer for several medical journals, including Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Echocardiography.
