Research Summary
Dr. Celentano’s research integrates behavioral science theory and research with epidemiology methods in the study of behavioral and social epidemiology. He has worked on and directed numerous epidemiological investigations and preventive interventions focused on HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections. His work currently is centered in Thailand, where he is the principal investigator of several NIH-supported studies focusing on interventions to influence the association between drug use and HIV.
