Dr. Joshua J. Wind is an assistant clinical professor of neurosurgery at the George Washington University School of Medicine and a neurosurgeon at Sibley Memorial Hospital. His board certification in neurosurgery is currently pending/scheduled. Dr. Wind practices out of Washington Neurosurgical Associates in Sibley Memorial Hospital’s Medical Building.
Dr. Wind earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and earned his medical degree from Loyola University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in neurological surgery at George Washington University Hospital. Dr. Wind then went on to complete a clinical and research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Wind is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Wind has authored numerous neurosurgery publications on minimally invasive spine surgery, pituitary tumors and neuro-oncology. He is also a supervisor of the monthly journal club for the neurosurgical residents at the George Washington University.

Research & Publications
Dr. Wind has co-authored several book chapters and written over 20 peer-reviewed publications on minimally invasive spine surgery, pituitary tumors and neuro-oncology in journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, The Journal of Neurosurgery, The Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, The European Spine Journal, The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, etc. He has ongoing research and participates in clinical trials for inpatients and outpatients.
