Biography

Katarzyna J. Macura, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Radiology and Radiological Science, as well as an Associate Professor of both Oncology and Urology.

Dr. Macura specializes in diagnostic radiology—particularly pelvic imaging of both men and women. She joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2001.

A past president of the American Association for Women Radiologists, Dr. Macura was once voted among the nation’s top five women's imaging specialists by the readers of Medical Imaging Magazine. She also was named 2006 Outstanding Teacher of the Year by Hopkins radiology residents.

Dr. Macura is active in a number of national and international radiology organizations and serves as a reviewer for a handful of prestigious radiology journals.
