They will discuss:

1. Vikram Chib, PhD, assistant professor of biomedical engineering at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine,will discuss choking under pressure and its relationship to the expected rewards or consequences of a good or bad performance.

2. Timothy Fong, associate clinical professor of psychiatry at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA and co-director of UCLA Gambling Studies Program, will discuss gambling as one of the major aspects of the Super Bowl and a major problem for people with gambling addiction.

3. Jesse Piburn, research scientist in geographic data sciences at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, will discuss the use of data science and analytics of performance during the game.

4. Kenneth Kim, associate professor in the Operations Management and Strategy Department at the University of Buffalo School of Management, will discuss the effect of the Super Bowl’s advertising on sponsoring companies’ stock prices.
