Sirena Muniz, R.N., in Pediatric Medicine, received the DAISY Award. She was nominated for this honor by a parent who wrote:

“Sirena has been absolutely amazing. She checks on me and my baby frequently just to make sure we’re doing okay and if there’s anything she can provide to help make us more comfortable. She is a caring, loving, one of a kind nurse that has gone above and beyond during our time at the hospital.”

Sirena’s manager added:

“Sirena is well deserving of this recognition. She knows how to put a smile on each patient’s face and makes their time in the hospital fun – which is what most of our children need. She always puts the patient first and advocates for them every step of the way. Sirena is a great asset to our Pediatric Medicine team. We are so proud of her!”

Congratulations, Sirena, and thank you for your commitment to patient- and family-centered care.
