Developed in 2008, the HCGH Clinical Ladder Program is designed to support nurses in their quest to raise the bar for professional excellence and to recognize their achievements through career advancement opportunities. The program is based on the premise that experience, education and commitment lead to clinical expertise, serving to increase the quality of patient care.
Clinical Nurse I (CNI): Newly hired graduate nurses.
CNII: Nurses with one year of experience and level entry for experienced RNs who join HCGH.
CNIII and CNIV: Candidates with appropriate clinical experience and certified in their specialty, who meet specific criteria in clinical practice, leadership and education.
