Workshops and Online Learning: Information for JHM Employees

The Armstrong Institute offers a variety of educational opportunities to the Johns Hopkins Medicine community. The goal is to create organizational capacity—trained health care professionals with supportive infrastructure—so that the organization can lead and sustain safety and quality efforts.

Workshops

Most of the Armstrong Institute's in-person training programs are free to employees under Johns Hopkins Medicine. These include:

Please note that free seats are NOT available for the Leading Adaptive Change workshop or the Fellows Course in Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control.

Seats for JHM participants are limited. If you work for an organization that is part of Johns Hopkins Medicine, e-mail AILearning@jhmi.edu to indicate your interest in a course and the dates that you would like to attend. Please DO NOT attempt to register from the standard registration page.

If a space is available for you, we will provide you with instructions for completing the online registration process. The Lean Sigma training events require that potential registrants complete an online application.

Upon registration, you will be required to provide an internal budget number. That budget will be charged only in the event that you cancel less than five business days from a workshop start date, or do not attend. See our cancellation and refund policy.

Online Learning

All employees within Johns Hopkins Medicine can access the institute’s online learning programs via Johns Hopkins' myLearning platform. These programs are free unless you elect to pay an additional fee to pursue continuing medical education credits.

  • Foundations of CUSP
  • Online Patient Safety Certificate Program
  • Science of Safety

MyLearning offers a number of other free modules related to patient safety and quality improvement.

Additional Opportunities

In addition to workshops and online learning, the institute offers fellowships and other training opportunities for Johns Hopkins Medicine employees. Visit the Programs for Faculty and Staff section to learn more.
