As Chair of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins, I welcome you to our Web site, which is our communication link to patients, alumni, medical students, residents, therapy students, current faculty and health care professionals.
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins University has a vision and plan based on the solid ground established by my predecessors, including the late Dr. Arthur Siebens and Dr. Barbara deLateur.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals disabled by injury or disease through generation of essential new knowledge, training leaders in patient care and research, shaping public policy, and providing the finest medical care.
We carry out this mission through the compassionate delivery of the highest quality of care, enhanced by a strong commitment to research, teaching and community service. Our department works in concert with the mission of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
