Every patient in the Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit undergoes a thorough evaluation of his or her strengths, abilities and needs. The rehabilitation team uses this information to develop recommendations that lead to the formulation of a unique, personalized plan of care.
A nurse clinician III manages each patient's care and services from admission through discharge. The NCIII also orients patients and family members to the unit, acts as a liaison between patients and the rehabilitation team and, most importantly, sees that the patient's goals and concerns are addressed and remain the primary focus of the rehabilitation process.
Family and friends are very important to the rehabilitation process. Their involvement, education and training are keys to the success of the rehabilitation process. Our nurses and therapists take the time to make sure that patients understand and become comfortable with their roles.
