I am pleased to announce that Jarrod D. Friedman, MD, has been appointed Medical Director of the Pain Management Program in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Dr. Friedman is currently a Clinical Associate in the Department. Born and raised in the Baltimore area, he trained at University of Chicago Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, finishing his residency in 2003. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Michigan. After his fellowship, Dr. Friedman was in private practice of pain medicine in Michigan. He moved back to Maryland in the Spring of 2007, to develop an interventional pain management program for the Department of PM&R at the Good Samaritan Hospital.
