Dr. Michelle Kho's academic background includes a B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Kinesiology, University of Waterloo), a BHSc (Physiotherapy / Physical Therapy), McMaster University, and Ph.D. (Health Research Methodology), McMaster University). She is currently conducting a randomized controlled trial studying the effects of neuromuscular electrical stimulation on muscle weakness in critically ill adults in the Johns Hopkins Hospital Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
Academically, Dr. Kho’s research interests include novel early rehabilitation strategies to reduce weakness in ICU patients, knowledge translation, research methodology (systematic reviews, practice guidelines), and health services and outcomes research. She comes to us from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
