Microscopy at the Wilmer Eye Institute (MWEI)

Microscopy at the Wilmer Eye Institute (MWEI) is an integral part of the research enterprise of Johns Hopkins' medical research and is located at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. It comprises facilities for confocal and transmission microscopy, as well as imaging of tissue cultures and frozen sections that contribute to research into ocular disorders and allied health problems for those who access its facilities.

Beginning in the 1960s, this set of instrumentation has contributed to the research of many disorders. Offering expertise and training in the most up-to-date methodology, it seeks to participate in the research process within the Johns Hopkins community.

Each first-time user will receive a personal reservation calendar login and password. Access to specific equipment calendars will be granted only after training by authorized staff is completed.
