Xiangrong Kong, Ph.D. - Director

Dr. Kong is a biostatistician and has training in global health and behavioral sciences. Her research focuses on the interface of biostatistics and ophthalmology, and has worked on a broad range of clinical ophthalmic studies, including retinal degenerations, ocular neuroretinal measurements, and low vision rehabilitation.

Yanzhao (Izzie) Wang, M.D. M.P.H. — Program Manager

Izzie has just received her MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics. She has extensive experience involved in research on the retina, physiological optics and vision science. She is currently participating in a clinical trial with Dr. Kong. Chris has worked for the Wilmer Eye Institute for 20 years. She has extensive knowledge in grants and contracts and has managed multiple national and international funds for foundations, government and non-sponsored organizations.
