Wilmer Core Research Centers

The Wilmer Eye Institute is one of the largest and most internationally-recognized ophthalmic research enterprises in the United States, receiving more funding from the National Eye Institute than any other university system. It is also a leading recipient of research funding in the country.The completion of The Robert H. and Clarice Smith Building in 2009, further expanded the establishment of a modern, cutting-edge vision research center.

In support of creating a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment, Wilmer has several Core research centers. These centers leverage common resources to serve as a central infrastructure, facilitating increased productivity for individual, mid-, and large-scale research endeavors.
