Wilmer Core Research Centers

The Wilmer Eye Institute is one of the world’s leaders in vision research. Wilmer is fortunate to have been funded through a National Eye Institute (NEI) Core Grant for Vision Research for over forty years. The funding supports a wide breadth of research programs including fundamental studies of development and mechanics, genetics, disease pathogenesis, clinical trials, epidemiology, translational research, and more. Over the years, the core functionality has adapted and evolved to fit changing research needs, technologies, and priorities.

Core utilization is prioritized for investigators funded by R01 grants through NEI. All core users will cite grant P30EY001765, Wilmer Core Grant for Vision Research, as a funding source.
