Building Your Professional Network & Career Skills

The best way to build your network is to reach out to your peers and colleagues and get involved! The Johns Hopkins Postdoctoral Association (JHPDA) is committed to building the postdoctoral community at Hopkins as well as offering professional development events throughout the year. Special events to look out for are Postdoctoberfest in the fall and the annual retreat in the spring. The JHPDA is run by postdocs for postdocs and is looking for volunteers, which is a great way to build academic service and leadership experience.
