Joel Blankson Receives COVID-19 Vaccine-related Research Fund Grant

Joel Blankson, M.D., Ph.D., a professor of medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, is the recipient of a grant from the COVID-19 Vaccine-Related Research Fund, JHU COVID-19 Research Response Program, funded by the Bentivoglio Family Fund. For his project, titled "The Effect of SARS-CoV-2 Vaccination on People Living with HIV and COVID-19 Convalescent Patients," Blankson will compare SARS-CoV-2-specific antibody and T-cell response in people living with HIV on antiretroviral therapy and healthy donors following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination, and he also will analyze these responses in COVID-19 convalescent patients.
