Jeanne Hitchcock Named to Baltimore Sun’s 2021 Business and Civic Hall of Fame
Jeanne D. Hitchcock, a special adviser on local government, community and corporate affairs for Johns Hopkins University and Medicine, has been named to the Baltimore Sun’s 2021 Business and Civic Hall of Fame. Hitchcock, who had a long career in Maryland government service before coming to Johns Hopkins, was selected for her transformational efforts to improve the Baltimore community. "She works to bring people together, to improve the lives of Baltimore’s African American community and, perhaps most important of all, she does not walk away from a challenge," the newspaper said in an article on Hitchcock's honor. Hitchcock and the 11 other honorees were feted at a banquet on Sept. 9 at the Center Club.
