Jacqueline Wang Receives COVID-19 Vaccine-Related Research Fund Grant

Jacqueline Garonzik Wang, M.D., Ph.D., an associate professor of surgery, Division of Transplant Surgery, is the recipient of a grant from the COVID-19 Vaccine-Related Research Fund, JHU COVID-19 Research Response Program, funded by the Bentivoglio Family Fund. For her project, titled "SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine Safety, Immune Response & Durability in Solid Organ Transplant Recipients," Wang will quantify COVID-19 vaccine safety and impact on allograft function in solid organ transplant recipients (SOTRs), work to understand humoral immune responses and durability in vaccinated SOTRs, and assess the CD8+ T cell response in vaccinated SOTRs and correlate with IgG titers
