Johns Hopkins Career, Academic, and Research Experiences for Students (CARES) Network and Symposium

Johns Hopkins Career, Academic, and Research Experiences for Students (CARES) Summer Symposium was launched in 2014 through the collaboration of 10 summer programs. This annual symposium brings together graduate, undergraduate and high school students who have participated in one of the Johns Hopkins CARES summer programs to showcase diverse STEM talent.

The mission of the Johns Hopkins CARES summer programs is to inspire and provide opportunities to underrepresented students and improve the odds of success among aspiring leaders to pursue careers in science, public health or medicine. Johns Hopkins CARES | Preparing Students for Careers in Science, Public Health and Medicine

Career, Academic, and Research Experiences for Students (CARES) summer programs provide graduate, undergraduate and high school students with opportunities to learn and work in settings across the Johns Hopkins medical campus in order to develop their skills and prepare for careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) field.

 

Johns Hopkins CARES Summer Programs

The mission of the Johns Hopkins CARES summer programs is to inspire and provide opportunities to underrepresented students and improve the odds of success among aspiring leaders to pursue careers in science, public health or medicine.

 

Johns Hopkins Initiative for Careers in Science and Medicine

The Johns Hopkins Initiative for Careers in Science and Medicine (CSM) aims to develop students (‘scholars’) from disadvantaged backgrounds into successful professionals, especially in the STEM and healthcare fields. The CSM serves high school, undergraduate, and post-baccalaureate students and seeks to help every scholar succeed based on their hard work and merits.

 

Centro SOL | Summer Scholars

The mission of Johns Hopkins Centro Sol is to promote equity in health and opportunity for Latinos by advancing clinical care, research, education, and advocacy at Johns Hopkins and beyond in active partnership with our Latino neighbors.

 

2016 Johns Hopkins CARES Summer Symposium

The Johns Hopkins CARES Summer Symposium is an annual event that brings together graduate, undergraduate and high school students who have participated in one of the Johns Hopkins CARES summer programs to showcase the diverse group of STEM talent.
