Meet the Team - Breast Imagers

Sandra Polin

Sandra Polin, M.D.

Sandra Polin, M.D. is a board-certified radiologist with specialty training in breast imaging. She completed her residency training in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York in 2002, where she served as chief resident.  The following year she completed her fellowship training in breast imaging at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where she received the RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award.  Dr. Polin was an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Georgetown University Hospital from 2003 to 2008. She taught residents and fellows, participated in clinical trials assessing the value of breast MRI in patients receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy and published articles on the effects of Tamoxifen.  From 2009 to 2016.  Dr. Polin worked as a women’s imager in a private practice with offices throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Dr. Polin joined the Sullivan Breast Center in August 2016. She is a member of the Society of Breast Imaging, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Radiologic Society of North America.
