Cancer Resources

Advanced Cancer Support Group

A monthly, open discussion support group for people living with advanced or metastatic disease, facilitated by Susan Ely, N.P.

Brain Tumor Support Group

This monthly open-discussion group is a place for patients and their families to gain support and friendship.

Breast Cancer Support Group

3rd Wednesday of every month | 6-7 pm| Building B, Medical Oncology Conference Room

This monthly group offers a place of support for patients being actively treated for breast cancer, up to stage 3, and are no more than 12 months out from chemotherapy, surgery, or radiation.

Gynecologic Oncology Support Group

This monthly group is a place where patients can meet others going through similar experiences and gain support and friendship.

Coping with Cancer: What Caregivers Need to Know

Come share an afternoon with other caregivers, enjoy lunch, and hear from Sibley experts about caregiving concerns; including health insurance, disability, estate planning, financial matters, employment, FMLA, coping with a cancer diagnosis, intimacy, respite, and stress management for the caregiver. Look Good Feel Better

A free program for women in active cancer treatment to learn how to cope with skin changes and hair loss. Facilitated by trained cosmetologist and aesthetician. Registration required at

Meditation and Mindfulness: for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers

Open to cancer patients, family, and friends to learn about and practice mindfulness meditation, which has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and loneliness, improve sleep and boost the immune system.


Stronger and Healthier Together – Cancer Survivorship Series

Four-week series for individuals who have completed treatment in the last 1-2 years. Program includes experts discussing nutrition, stress reduction, lymphedema risk reduction, exercise, emotional health, and side effect management. Participants will have one-on-one consultations with certified health coach. Registration required.

Yin/Yang Yoga for Young Adult Cancer Survivors

Yoga for Cancer Survivors

Restorative yoga for people in treatment for or with a history of cancer. Yoga instructors have specific training to safely teach yoga to individuals who have had surgery, radiation or systemic treatment. Practice focuses on balance, stretching, and breathing. HOPE: An Era of Hope in Lung Cancer

Hear from lung cancer experts and learn about support programs and resources offered by LUNGevity Foundation and Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley. Lunch will be provided.
