The Geriatric Psychiatry Clinic offers outpatient services to individuals 65 and older who are experiencing memory loss, depression, anxiety, and/or behavioral problems.
- Comprehensive evaluation and treatment: Management of early-stage memory problems, depression, anxiety, and/or behavioral problems includes comprehensive evaluation and regular longitudinal follow up. The initial evaluation usually takes about three to four hours. Patients are requested to bring pertinent medical records and current medications at the time of the initial evaluation. Steps will be taken to ensure that care is coordinated with the patient’s primary care doctor when appropriate. Memory evaluation and more severe memory issues are managed at the Memory & Alzheimer’s Treatment Center.
