A unique clinic run by Glenn J. Treisman, M.D., Ph.D., the Eugene Meyer III Professor in Psychiatry and Medicine, takes a holistic approach to tackling the complex medical and psychiatric issues for un-treated or under-treated patients who suffer from some combination of addiction, chronic pain, dementia, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, GI disorder, autoimmune disease, and chronic mental illness.

An interdisciplinary team works to mitigate the fragmentation that especially impacts these patients. Dr. Treisman has motivated doctors in many fields to adopt his model of care, and to address ethical concerns for vulnerable patients. He teaches and mentors medical students and residents at Johns Hopkins and in academic centers across the country and he is involved in numerous collaborative research efforts at Johns Hopkins and other institutions.
