Background

Dr. Avi Gerstenblith is an assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise includes consultation-liaison psychiatry, critical illness psychiatry, transplant psychiatry, the bi-directional relationships between psychiatric illness and medical conditions, and medical student and resident education. 

Dr. Gerstenblith earned his M.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital.  He performed a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
